See the USA collage exhibited on Lincoln Road
My artwork is currently receiving a great deal of exposure lately! This past week the See the USA vintage postcard map went on exhibit in one of the main Lincoln Road store front windows of the ArtCenter South Florida.
The piece has already attracted a lot of attention and is stopping people in their tracks to admire it. As well, the HOPE and PROGRESS serigraph prints are on display in the main wall of the front foyer of the ArtCenter's 810 building.
Not to mention, the $100 US Flag billboards are still flying high! Thanks to the generous support of New Jersey Outdoor Media, the $100 U.S. Flag serigraph is displayed on two digital billboards in Miami and New Jersey. The Miami billboard is located at 11401 NW 134th Street, Medley, Florida 33178 at the intersection of Okeechobee Road and the Florida Turnpike.
In addition to these two billboards in New Jersey and Miami, the US Money Flag is up on Lincoln Road directly outside the ArtCenter South Florida's 800 building that houses my studio and is on view until the beginning of August.

Flag Billboards in NJ, Miami, and Miami Beach
The billboards are up! Thanks to the generous support of New Jersey Outdoor Media, the $100 U.S. Flag serigraph is displayed on two digital billboards in Miami and New Jersey. The Miami billboard is located at 11401 NW 134th Street, Medley, Florida 33178 at the intersection of Okeechobee Road and the Florida Turnpike. The New Jersey sign that is first pictured above is at Route 9 at Black Horse Pike in Pleasantville, NJ 08232. The second billboard in Margate, New Jersey is not yet functional and so will be posted at a later date. The billboards are 14 x 48 feet and displays the flag artwork for 8 seconds every other minute. Each billboard is seen by 150,000 cars per day.
In addition to these two billboards in New Jersey and Miami, the US Money Flag will also be displayed on Lincoln Road directly outside the ArtCenter South Florida's 800 building that houses my studio. The sign is scheduled to go up during the first week of July and be on view for the entire month.
As for my new home, I am still getting settled in but I am loving the place! It has a wonderful balcony and spectacular views! I am enjoying it immensely!

Working Away in Miami
I have been a bit delinquent with my posts to my blog. The weekend prior I visited my Mom and worked on some pieces there. It was nice to get away and have a change of pace from Miami. Since I have been back in the Magic City, I have been finishing up a work that I started some months ago. I hope to have it done in the next couple of days.
As for my new home, there has been a small delay. Hopefully, this week it will be ironed out and I will have the keys to my new place! Keep your fingers crossed for me! I'll keep you posted on how things go.

Completed project and gearing up for the next
On Friday, I was able to finally wrap up a piece that I have been working on for some time. Now that this project is over, I am taking a few days to straighten up the studio and re-organize before starting on the next artwork. The next pieces should be easier and less time consuming to make as I will be working more in my field of expertise. Hopefully, I will be able to work faster and make May a more productive month.

Working towards the deadline
I have been focused on getting a project completed by April 19th. The work is coming along. There are three components to the piece and they are all in the final stages of completion. The most time consuming element of the project I started at the beginning of January and uses spent bullet shell casings to create the image. There is a jewelry studio down the hall from my workspace, and in order to give the piece more durability, I thought I would give my hand at soldering the shell casings together rather than use some liquid adhesive. I had no idea what I got myself into. The process is very time intensive and tedious. I have at least 8 weeks invested so far into the project, and it looks like perhaps another 60-80 hours more before it will be finished. The piece is coming along well, but there are always small details that take time and need special attention. The pressure is mounting as the deadline is fast approaching. It is a little hectic to say the least, but it is nice to be able to just focus on making art for a change. At least it looks like April is going to be a productive month artistically.
