1 1/2 weeks after I arrived in Berlin

It is hard to believe that it has already been 1 1/2 weeks since I arrived in Berlin on May 25th. Since then I bought a Trabant and have looked at a number of Mercedes to purchase for the project. I have also been looking for an apartment to rent when I return at the end of June as well as other preparations I have to do for the project. The weather the past week has also been a bit cold (downright chilly to tell the truth with highs in the 60s). However, I find it a nice change to the summer heat of Miami. Before I leave Tuesday to go back to Miami, I need to meet with a number of people who will be involved directly or indirectly in the project. It looks like it will be a busy and fun last few days ahead for this first part of the project.

The German Project is under way!

The past few days have been extremely busy. I arrived in Berlin on Wednesday of this week. I visited two autobody shops that have submitted estimates for the project to see their facilities and speak with the owners directly. I have begun to look for the Trabant and have seen 4 possible cars that could be used in the project. In short, the project has begun and is moving ahead. In the next week, I hope to buy the two cars and make other preparations for my next trip to Germany when I will begin the fusion of the two cars.

I have been so busy as of lately that I have not had too much time to reflect on all that has been happening. Although it is really strange after thinking and working on this project for the last 5 years to finally be in the process of realizing it. But the last few days have been a lot of fun. When I meet with the owners of the Trabant, they are a little surprised by me. It is not too often that some guy from Miami Beach comes to look at their Trabant and speak in German with them. Then as I explain what I want to do, a smile appears and as I better explain the concept, the more they enjoy it. It becomes not just a transaction to buy a mode of transportation but an art action in which we all participate.
