Back to work after NC trip for a newer car

I have been tardy in updating the blog the past week because I was out of town again. It was long overdue that I get a newer car and last week I went up to North Carolina where I found a deal on a previously owned mini-van that serves as my main transportation as well as my shop truck. So after being back only 5 days after my London trip, I drove up my old van to the Smoky mountains on Friday evening and arrived back late Wednesday afternoon to Miami in my new wheels.
For those of you who are just tuning in, I had spent 2 weeks in London at the end of April. I went to assist in the presentation of my work at the London Original Print Fair where Galerie Burkhard Eikelmann showed my serigraphs from April 29th to May 3rd. It was a fantastic trip! I got to check out some galleries, see London, meet some interesting people, experience Spring, catch up with some old friends, and make new contacts for my work. I even made a day trip up to Newcastle, UK to visit Opus Gallery a new gallery that is exhibiting my artwork. After my appointment, I was able to wander around this interesting city and check out the Laing Art Gallery as well as the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art. Both are excellent institutions presenting world class shows. It was a fun day!
Now that I am back from North Carolina, I have wasted no time getting to work. I started a moderately sized painting that I hope to have finished this week and in the process of beginning a few others.
