Working away after a deep Frieze in NYC
I am a bit delinquent with my updates. I was in New York City from May 2nd to the 8th to see the Frieze Art Fair as well as the other satellite fairs and exhibitions happening in the Big Apple. The trip was really nice. The weather was cool but not cold. I saw some great shows and good art. I was able to spend time visiting old friends who live in Europe that were in town for the big event as well as those who reside in New York. So it was a really good trip.
Since I have returned, I have been playing catch up with getting work framed, photographed, and making new pieces. Things are progressing slower than I would ideally like but they are at least moving forward. This week I plan to big making some larger pieces as well as shipping out work. I am preparing for two solo exhibitions that are tentatively schedule for later this year. So I have a lot of work in front of me to say the least. I will be able to divulge more when the dates are more securely set. In the meantime, I will be in the studio experimenting with new materials to incorporate in my work. The results should prove interesting. .
