This has been a productive week. I was able to wrap up my paperwork and post a number of new works to my website. I know for some time I have been talking about working on this collage, or on a design for a new print series. However, I did not want to post any images of the works until they were done, professionally photographed, and copyrighted. Now that this process is over for all five of these works, I am able to share them with you.

So without further hesitation, I have posted two new works to the 2d artworks section and 3 new pieces of soon to be published serigraph prints to the editions section. In the 2d artworks section, I have posted See the U.S.A. and Rocky Mountain Adventure. Both original artworks are collages. See the U.S.A. is a collage of vintage postcards from the 48 continental states cut into the shape of the state that the postcards picture. The work is cut out of the country in wood and measures 46 x 70 inches. It took over 550 hours to create.

Rocky Mountain Adventure was a study for See the U.S.A. Originally, I had planned to paint or print the image of a 1950s car in the center of the map of the country, but decided against it once the collage was finished. In Rocky Mountain Adventure, I arranged vintage postcards of scenic views of Colorado and printed an image of 1958 Cadillac convertible that I had once photographed. The idea for both works were to capture a more prosperous period in American history when the country was enjoying economic and industrial growth.

The three new print works are also related to the current economic situation. HOPE and PROGRESS are two new prints that I plan to publish in the near future. The works are meant to work as a diptych. The Money Laundering print is also a new edition that I plan to be offering soon.

I still have a few more works that I need to photograph and copyright. So when this process is done, I will post them to the website. So I will be working on this part of the week and then plan to go back to the collage that I had started a couple of weeks ago.

The clock is ticking down with ArtBasel Miami Beach just seven weeks away. My goal is to get done as much work as possible before the fair begins December 1st. Wish me success!
