Back in Miami after a busy, fun NYC trip

I just returned to Miami after spending a busy and fun two weeks in the Big Apple. During New York's Armory Show Week, Front Room Gallery organized the showing of the Border Cruiser at Scope Art Fair, the Fair of the Moving Image, the Brooklyn Art Fair, Pool Art Fair, and Front Room Gallery. The project was well received and was written up in blogs and appeared on the Facebook pages of many viewers.
Once the fairs were over, I spent the next week visiting with my German gallerist, Burkhard Eikelmann who was in town as well as other dealers that I know and show my work.
I also attended the contemporary art auctions at Phillips de Pury and Sotheby's. At the Phillips auction, I got to see Hole singer and widow of Kurt Cobain, Courtney Love engage in a bidding war over two Barbara Kruger works that she won.
In addition to meeting with gallerists and attending auctions, I got to hang out with New York artists, Greg Haberny and David Hochbaum. David has had access to a GIGANTIC polaroid camera in his studio for the last month. So when I went over, he was photographing models for new works. He even created a picture with me. It was fun to hang out in the studio and play with this historic camera that has been used by Chuck Close and William Wegman to name a few.
I left New York and drove the Border Cruiser back to Florida. It was a long and luckily uneventful trip. I arrived in Miami late Sunday night, and have been busy catching up with my affairs that have gone neglected since I have been away. Now that I am more or less caught up, I will begin on a new body of work. There is a lot to do, so I better get with it.
