Home again after short European excursion

This week I have been traveling and just returned on Thursday. I went to northern Italy to attend the wedding of the German gallerist, Burkhard Eikelmann who exhibits my work in Düsseldorf. The little village where the wedding took place was one of the most beautiful that I have ever seen. The experience is one that I will remember for many years to come. The trip back was a little hectic as my connecting flight from JFK in New York to Miami was cancelled and I had to take the first flight out the next morning. However beside the unexpected delay and missing luggage, I made it home safely. Now that I have returned to Miami, it is back to work. I have to frame and send a number of works to a collector in the upcoming week as well as start on a new commission.
As for other news, the review in Wynwood art magazine of my show at Dr. Mosquera's Art@Work alternative space is out. Janet Batet, an independent art critic and curator gave a nice write up about the show.
Also the group exhibition at the Harris House of Atlantic Center for the Arts in New Smyrna, Florida is still up. The show entitled Activate was a great success and attracted a number of area collectors and art enthusiasts who enjoyed it immensely. The exhibition will run from June 6th to July 24th, so stop by if you are in the area.
