Resting from ArtBasel Miami Beach

It has been a busy past two weeks as I was preparing a new project to present during ArtBasel Miami Beach, the most important event for visual art in North America. I created a mobile video installation in a homeless shopping cart that I pushed around through the streets of Miami Beach during the fair while wearing a tuxedo. The project investigated the effects of consumerism on our society by juxtaposing the haves with the have nots engaged in the same activities. The project was well received and was reviewed in flavorwire. It also allowed me to engage with the many people who were in town for the event that I would not have been able to meet otherwise.
Now that ArtBasel is over, I am taking a few days to recuperate as well as catch up on a number of activities that I have neglected over the past couple of weeks. I plan to begin new work by the end of this week or the beginning of next week.
As for other news, my solo exhibition at Arch Gallery that opened on November 19th is still up. "Stimulus Package" is the inaugural exhibition for the gallery and features new works as well as some familiar pieces.
