This week past by rather quickly and actual progress on the project was rather slow. The shop that I am working with took on an outside job on Wednesday that was much larger than they had anticipated. Thus, they had to focus their complete attention on it in order to get the work done by a its' required Friday deadline. However, you can see the development of the project and read daily accounts of what we accomplish by going to the Eins Werden page which is the window to the project's image galleries as well as blog . As for myself, I have been busy with many other details for the project like preparing images for the internet, uploading new information to the site, and planning out the next phases of the project. The next few weeks are going to be quite busy and hectic. I will have to find another place to stay as my current sublease will run out at the end of the month. In addition, I need to start planning out how best to approach the video installation of the project as this will be the next phase once the bodyshop is done with their work. Not to mention, I need to begin thinking about where this work will eventually be shown once it is complete. So busy times are ahead.

Settling in and moving right along

After being in Berlin for 3 weeks, I am starting to figure out how to better manage my time between working directly on the project and working on all the other aspects that are associated with the project. I was able to finally update the Eins Werden blog and post a daily account of what I have been up to the past few weeks while working on the project. Now I just have to get more pictures posted and I will be all caught up with the internet site. I hope to be able to get this done this week. We will see...I had hoped to do this last weekend as well. This should be an exciting week and a big step forward as we are finally welding the Mercedes and the Trabant together. Stephan Braun said they did not take in many new jobs this week, so this means he will have more time to concentrate and devote to the project. So we should be able to make some good progress now. I look forward to post new pictures soon. Stay tuned!
